WRITING OBJECTIVES

DAY 7.

Using ABCD method to write objectives, teachers must include some important components  as Audience, Behavior, Condition and Degree. In this way the teacher is explicit  of what his students have to learn  during the classes and if they have achieved the standards of performance required to pass the level.

Another choice to write an objective is through Bloom's Taxonomy which is based on three domains:
  • Cognitive: mental skills (Knowledge)
  • Affective: growth in feelings or emotional areas (Attitude)
  • Psychomotor: manual or physical skills (Skills)
Each domain has some categories and for each one of them there are some levels of difficulty which have to be achieved by the students.  It's important to be updated , so I suggest to check this sites: http://www.nwlink.com/~donclark/hrd/bloom.html or http://www.coun.uvic.ca/learning/exams/blooms-taxonomy.html among others.l
